The U.S.ENGLISH Foundation is a nonpartisan, Washington, D.C.-based 501 (c)(3) educational foundation that disseminates information on English teaching methods, sponsors educational programs, develops English instructional materials, represents the interests of Official English advocates before state and federal courts and promotes opportunities for people living in the United States to learn English.

The U.S.ENGLISH Foundation contends that learning English quickly and learning it with English-speaking peers is the best way for English learners to get ahead academically and socially. Although English learners do require special language assistance, it is the Foundation’s stance that this assistance should be short-term and transitional.

The U.S.English Foundation maintains a database of ESL (English as a Second Language) classes across the nation if you need information on where classes are offered in your area, please call us at (202) 833-0100 or email us at info@usefoundation.org.

The U.S.ENGLISH Foundation is a separate organization from U.S.ENGLISH, Inc., which works to pass legislation related to our common language.
