Learn English for Free

The U.S. English Foundation offers access to free English language lessons via U.S.A. LEARNS, an educational resource for adult immigrants who want to learn or improve their English skills as they become part of American society.

U.S.A. LEARNS, a free website funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, was developed primarily for adult immigrants with limited English language skills who cannot attend traditional classroom programs because of difficulty with schedules, transportation, or other barriers. It includes three programs: a beginner-level course, an intermediate-level course, and a course that builds on the lessons of the first two by promoting English-speaking skills and reading comprehension. All instructional materials are online.

Designed as an online tool for learning English outside of a classroom, U.S.A. LEARNS offers contextualized practice activities in listening, reading, writing, speaking, and life skills necessary for success at work and in the community. Click here to create an account at U.S.A. LEARNS.
